SUMMARY:Scuba Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:We are organizing a SCUBA SUMMER CAMP in Watkinsville from June 27th to July 1st. The Scuba Camp will take place at the Georgia Aquatic Center in WatkinsvilleAthens Scuba is proud to announce that we are organizing Athens’ first ever Scuba Summer Camp for kids from age 10 to 17!  We are excited to teach children a variety of knowledge and skills around scuba diving\, snorkeling and swimming. In this summer camp\, required academics will be mixed with fun facts and educational videos. Water skills will be blended with fun activities\, free diving and more\, all of which will assist the future scuba divers in developing a better finning technique and airway control. The camp will not fully certify the participant\, but it will cover 2/3 of the full PADI Open Water Diver course. We will finish all knowledge and basic skill training with the children. The four check out dives required for full certification will be offered as an add-on later in the summer because the dives can’t be completed in a pool. Teaching scuba diving at the Georgia Aquatic CenterRequirements: Minimum age is 10 yearsKids must be able to swim before the camp startsCertain medical conditions will require a physicians sign offThe 5 Day Summer Camp from June 27th to July 1st 2022 includes: Daily Supervision from 9AM to 3 PMTwo dive professionals in the water at all times while the campers are in Life guard on duty whenever the campers will be in the waterSwim and snorkeling development\, supervised by a professional swim coach on days one and twoScuba knowledge development according to PADI standardsScuba skill development according to PADI standardsEach child gets their own gear set with a Mask\, Fins and SnorkelSnacks Water Grill out Friday afternoon with parentsParents are invited to join us Friday afternoon to check out the skills their children have learned and are encouraged to hop in and try scuba diving for free with us as well! SUMMARY:West Palm Beach Dive Trip
DESCRIPTION:We have planned a great trip to West Palm Beach\, Florida from July  28th-August 1st.  This will be a fun and relaxed getaway that is great for newly certified divers and experienced divers alike! West Palm Beach offers awesome diving\, close to home.   We are planning to drive or fly down to West Palm Beach on Thursday July 28th\, dive Friday\, Saturday\, Sunday and drive/fly back on Monday August 1st. The trip includes accommodations in the Best Western Plus Palm Beach Gardens and diving with Nitrox. The hotel is conveniently located\, close to the dive boat and Blue Heron Bride\, dining and the beach. The hotel includes a daily breakfast. The hotel has different room options. We included the standard room. You have the choice between a one (King or Queen)\, or two bed (double) setup.  We will dive the Blue Heron Bridge\, which is one of our all time favorites\, on Friday morning. Friday afternoon we will do a double tank trip on the fabulous dive boat Narcosis\, these will be two rather shallow dives on the beautiful reefs around West Palm Beach. Saturday and Sunday we will do the morning double tank trips which typically include one wreck and one reef dive. These dives will be a bit deeper but still easy going\, as all diving in West Palm is done as drift dives. Travel from July. 28th to Aug. 1st\, 3 days of boat diving on Nitrox\, 1 shore dive at the Blue Heron Bridge Rental gear\, drive/flights\, meals (except of breakfast at the hotel)\, drinks and possible certifications are NOT included For information on single occupancy\, extra dives\, and other special requests\, please email ben@athensscuba.com

DESCRIPTION:If scuba diving is like taking a scenic stroll around a park\, a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) is like exploring a neighborhood on an (electric) bicycle.  DPVs\, also called underwater scooters\, allow you to see more\, conserve air and get from one place to another faster – with a huge smile on your face. For this exciting new class we can take a maximum of two students at the time. The class includes PADI eLearning\, two dives from one of the boats at Lake Jocassee and the rental of the Scooter.

DESCRIPTION:If scuba diving is like taking a scenic stroll around a park\, a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) is like exploring a neighborhood on an (electric) bicycle.  DPVs\, also called underwater scooters\, allow you to see more\, conserve air and get from one place to another faster – with a huge smile on your face. For this exciting new class we can take a maximum of two students at the time. The class includes PADI eLearning\, two dives from one of the boats at Lake Jocassee and the rental of the Scooter.

DESCRIPTION:We have planned a trip to the Florida Springs from November 4th to 6th. Sample picture of Blue GrottoFor convenience reasons we decided to stay at the Blue Grotto Dive resort in Williston. The resort features simple cabins\, with AC/heat\, and private bathrooms. The price includes the bunk option. Double bed and cabins with a kitchen can be booked for a small extra fee. The main reason we prefer this option is\, that we are right at the dive site and save hours of driving over the weekend\, compared to the next closer option that would be in Gainsville\, FL. We’ll bring a grill and have a divers community dinner on Saturday.
