SUMMARY:San Ignacio Lagoon Gray Whales
DESCRIPTION:Book HereWe have planned a once in a lifetime experience in San Ignacio Lagoon. If experiencing the Gray Whales of San Ignacio Lagoon is not on your bucket list\, IT SHOULD BE! Join us for this 4-night luxury camping adventure getting up close and personal with The Gray Whales of San Ignacio Lagoon! This incredible experience takes place right after the Socorro trip – so you can treat it as a Socorro extension or join us after Socorro at the Los Cabos Airport (SJD) for our puddle-jumper to San Ignacio Bay. Up Close and Personal with a Gray Whale is San Ignacio Lagoon with Nautilus AdventuresWhere are we going? Every winter\, Eastern Pacific gray whales make an incredible 3\,000 mile journey from the icy Arctic waters of Alaska to the warm lagoons of Baja California\, Mexico. These lagoons become a nursery and breeding ground\, where thousands of whales gather to mate\, give birth\, and nurture their young. San Ignacio Lagoon\, often called “whale central\,” is the heart of this experience. Each season\, 5\,000 to 6\,000 gray whales visit\, making it the ultimate destination for rare\, up-close encounters with these friendly giants. San Ignacio LagoonWhy San Ignacio? In San Ignacio Lagoon\, gray whales\, guided by trust and curiosity\, approach humans to seek out interactions. This remarkable behavior\, unique to this lagoon\, began in 1972 when a gray whale initiated contact with a fisherman\, forging an extraordinary bond between whales and humans. Since then\, gray whales have continued to swim up to boats\, offering unforgettable close-up encounters. These experiences are nothing short of phenomenal\, extraordinary\, and utterly mind-blowing! When are we going? The whales arrive in the lagoon in December and stay through the end of April.Nautilus operates exclusively during the peak whale season\, from mid-January to mid-April\, when the largest number of whales are present. Sightings vary throughout the season. The first gray whales to arrive are usually adults coming to mate. As the season progresses\, more whales fill the lagoon\, and by early February\, the first newborn calves begin to appear. Soon\, the lagoon is bustling with mothers and babies\, busy training for their long journey north. Towards the end of the season\, when we will be there\, the calves often become especially friendly! The Luxury Camp Imagine starting your day with the sun rising over the Baja mountains\, followed by multiple whale-watching excursions to meet the friendly whales. You choose how much time you want to spend with these gentle giants\, setting the pace that feels right for you.The lagoon and surrounding desert are beautiful\, and these trips are done in style. Perfect if you enjoy nature and the great outdoors but love the extra comfort. Our luxury camp is located in the peaceful El Vizcaíno desert\, with tents positioned near the water\, offering stunning views and endless starry skies at night. You can join kayaking or paddleboarding tours across the lagoon (weather permitting)\, take scenic walks\, or explore the area by mountain bike. Evenings are for unwinding – enjoy presentations by naturalists\, watch the sun set over the salt flats\, and gather around the fire pit. The Nautilus team of naturalists\, scientists and local experts will be unhand to guide you through your entire experience whether it’s with you on your panga with the gray whales\, or guiding you on a kayak expedition through the mangroves or bird watching or a nature walk or accompanying you to a local village to witness their efforts at turtle conservation. Each tent includes an ensuite bathroom\, a hot shower\, and a “real bed” with high-quality linens for a restful night’s sleep. Each tent village features a large dinning tent and kitchen as well as an outdoor palapa fire pit and a large bar tent complete with craft beer\, single malts and an excellent wine list. You will enjoy daily all-inclusive fine dinning with freshly prepared dishes\, paired with the warmth and authenticity of the Baja staff. Our luxury village will have larger tents with ocean view\, private sitting areas and even a pool table in the bar tent. The Itinerary Day 1: Meet the Gray Whales! Our adventure begins with a 1 hour 50 minute flight to the airstrip at the Lagoon. After brunch\, a welcome briefing\, and a naturalist introduction to the whales\, we’ll head out for two afternoon whale-watching encounters. In the evening\, we’ll enjoy a cocktail hour and watch the sunset around the fire pit\, followed by dinner and a presentation by one of the naturalists. Days 2 – 3: San Ignacio Lagoon All operators in the lagoon work together to maximize guest experience while ensuring no negative impact on the whales. For this reason\, Nautilus is not able to send pangas out “on demand”. Here is an example itinerary. 7 am breakfast after watching the sunrise over the sierras and then head out at 7:45 am for several whale watching encounters. 9:45 am for the second whale watching session of the day. Then again\, around 10 to 10:30 am\, depending on the availability in the area for whale watching\, and then back to camp for lunch. After lunch\, enjoy another whale-watching encounter in the afternoon. In the evening\, enjoying cocktail hour\, sunset viewing\, making new friends around the fire pit\, a game of billiards\, or an evening presentation by a naturalist are all fine ways to finish off your day in camp. Day 4: Return to Cabo Breakfast at 7 am. One more whale watching encounter\, and then the flight back to SJD Los Cabos. DATES AND FLIGHTS This trip takes place from March 19th – 22nd 2027. SUMMARY:Cozumel Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereWe have planned an amazing trip to Cozumel\, Mexico. This is such a great trip as Cozumel is easy to get to and some of the best diving available via a short\, one-leg\, direct flight. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Cozumel for a group scuba trip! Five days of diving\, enjoying the beach and the many amenities of the beautiful Iberostar hotel\, and exploring Cozumel. Cozumel is widely regarded as one of the best Caribbean dive destinations and rightfully so! The island of Cozumel is located just off the east coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and is directly across the water from Playa Del Carmen. Located on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the second-largest coral reef system in the world)\, Cozumel is an incredible spot for turquoise Caribbean waters\, white sand beaches\, and world-class diving and snorkeling. WHY COZUMEL? We chose to spend seven nights on Cozumel\, because it has everything a diver could wish for. Beautiful reefs\, lots of fish and variety of underwater life\, drift diving\, beautiful beaches and fantastic resorts. The island also has a lot to offer besides diving\, Cozumel town is fun to explore\, a scooter ride to the east side of the island is a lot of fun and there are some of the oldest known Mayan ruins that can be visited. THE DIVING All dives will be guided by experienced dive guides of the well known and great dive operation of Dressel Divers Cozumel. Dressel has many dive locations around the Caribbean but only send their most experience staff to their prime dive shop in the Iberostar hotel. The dive center is located in the hotel and has it’s own jetty for their 4 boats.Cozumel is almost entirely surrounded by the Mesoamerican Reef\, which is why the island is considered one of the best dive areas in the world. The island features 40 different dive sites that have depths ranging from 10-100 feet and are teeming with tropical fish and colorful reefs. We’ll have 5 days of double tank dives included. The dive sites are very close to the hotel\, so most of the days we’ll stop at the hotel between dives. THE HOTEL The Iberostar hotel is not only regarded as one of the best (or maybe THE BEST…) hotel of Cozumel\, it’s also the most southern hotel on the island\, which is the main reason we decided to stay here. The best and least crowded dive sites of the island are in front or just south of the hotel. Most other dive shops need to have long boat rides to sites that we can reach in a few minutes. The hotel itself is beautifully arranged with the surrounding nature. The fully equipped bungalow-style suites offer a family-friendly atmosphere\, from which you can easily access the pools\, spa or the extensive beach. We are booked on an all inclusive plan that includes all meals and drinks\, including alcohol. The hotel is well know for it’s great kitchen and also offers themed restaurants. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from May 9th to 16th 2026. There will be direct flights with Delta from Atlanta to Cozumel available for this trip and also many options with a one-stop layover. All transfers from Cozumel airport to the hotel are included in the travel price. TRIP SUMMARY Package includes:  – 7 nights’ accommodations  – All-inclusive meals and drinks (alcohol included)  – Free Roundtrip airport transfers from Cozumel airport  – 5 days of 2-tank boat diving  – Free Nitrox Package does not include: -Marine Park Fee: approximately $10 per diver per day. SUMMARY:Costa Rica Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereCosta Rica might not be on everyone’s radar as a prime scuba diving spot\, but we’ve been wanting to set up a trip to this amazing country for a long time. Especially the Pacific coast\, where we’ll be staying\, offers great diving and many more attractions. This trip also marks a new opportunity for us and all our divers. We decided to break the trip up into diving and non-diving parts. We’ll go to the beautiful Playa Hermosa for 5 nights and will spend 2 nights in the amazing rainforest in the Arenal area. WHERE ARE WE GOING? Costa Rica is a small country located in Central America\, bordered by Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. The region of Guanacaste\, where we’ll stay\, offers an unforgettable vacation with its warm climate\, amazing beaches and spectacular natural attractions. With some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica\, the “Golden Coast” of Costa Rica is a top destination for tourists and an exciting scuba diving destination. WHY Costa Rica? The country is known for its stunning natural beauty\, including lush rainforests\, volcanoes and beautiful beaches. It is home to an incredibly diverse range of wildlife\, including monkeys\, sloths\, toucans and jaguars. Costa Rica is a popular tourist destination\, known for its eco-tourism opportunities and adventure activities such as zip-lining\, surfing and white-water rafting. The country is also known for its commitment to conservation and sustainability\, with around 25% of its land protected as national parks and reserves. Plus the diving in the Pacific region is amazing! THE DIVING Costa Rica is popular amongst scuba divers but luckily not an overrun dive destination! It offers a pacific-typical diverse range of marine life and ecosystems to explore. The area we’ll dive in is called Gulf of Papagayo and is known for its large schools of fish\, sharks and rays\, as well as its impressive rock formations and coral reefs. Having dive sites that we can reach in only a 10- to 20-minute boat ride from our hotel\, makes it an excellent location for a dive vacation. The area is well suited for advanced divers and novices or those learning to dive because its submerged volcanic rock formations and dive pinnacles offer multi-level dive opportunities so you can enjoy them together on the same dive site. THE HOTEL(S) Villas Sol – Ocean View Rooms\, All inclusive Villas Sol is an all-inclusive Hotel and Beach Resort with a million-dollar view – easily the best in all of the Gulf of Papagayo. Perched atop a hill\, trams take customers around the property from hotel to beach and back – generally 5-10 minutes between cycles when three trams are running. Each of the 54 rooms face the ocean and all have a very large balcony. The restaurant and patio deck at the hotel pool have a stellar view of the Gulf providing spectacular sunsets. A cool-water jacuzzi and the main pool with swim-up bar and snack bar are situated just steps from the hotel between the hotel and villas. There are many restaurants and a sports bar\, plus a grocery store\, just a short walk from the hotel. We’ll be staying in the deluxe rooms of the hotel. Manao Hotel – Junior Suites – All meals included (no drinks included) Nestled in a serene and secluded location surrounded by breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano\, this hot spring hotel is a haven of relaxation and indulgence in the La Fortuna area. The hotel boasts a variety of beautifully appointed suites. Each one is equipped with queen sized beds\, amenities and the most spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano from your own porch.  The hot spring pool and ponds are fed by natural mineral water\, which have therapeutic properties. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploration or simply to soak up the tranquility of the surroundings. There are many options to stay in the Arenal area but we decided to take the recommendation of our travel agent who said this place is basically\, “HEAVEN”. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from July 24th to 31st 2027. Delta flys direct to Liberia\, Costa Rica from Atlanta. The airport code for Liberia is LIR. SUMMARY:Komodo Liveaboard Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereWe have planned a fantastic liveaboard trip to the Komodo Islands. The Komodo Islands have been on the top of many divers’ bucket list\, as they have been for us for sure. Ben is going to lead this trip. Where are we going? Our trip to the world famous Komodo National Park with this 7 nights itinerary visits the UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. The park is 200 nautical miles east of Bali and right between the large island of Sumbawa and Flores in Indonesia\, all of which are part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Accepted under the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme in January 1977\, and officially declared a World Heritage Site in 1991\, the Komodo National Park encompasses 132\,000 hectares of marine waters making it one of the largest protected zones in the world. Why Komodo? Diving in Komodo National Park is best done by liveaboard\, which allows you to explore the area to its fullest. The park and surrounding area boasts one of the world’s richest marine environments\, with over 260 species of reef building coral\, 70 species of sponge\, marine worms\, molluscs\, echinoderms\, crustaceans\, over 1\,000 species of cartilaginous and bony fish\, marine reptiles\, and marine mammals. Some notable marine species on this 7 night itinerary include pygmy seahorses\, anglerfish\, nudibranchs\, manta rays\, dolphins\, Napoleon wrasse and groupers. As no visit to Komodo National Park would be complete without encountering the world-famous dragons\, our 7 night Komodo liveaboard itinerary also includes a land visit to observe these giant lizards in their natural habitat On a typical day we offer up to 4 day dives; 3 day dives and a fourth sunset or night dive. The diving day is scheduled as follows: Light Breakfast followed by a briefing and Dive 1\n\nFull Breakfast\, relaxation period\, briefing and Dive 2\n\nLunch\, relaxation period\, briefing and Dive 3\n\nSnack relaxation period\, briefing and Dive 4\, where possible\n\nDinnerWhen are we going? After much consideration\, research and planning\, we have decided to go to Komodo in August of 2027. The Liveaboard Almost new – Built in 2022\, the 47m Indo Master liveaboard was built on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and is handcrafted from ironwood and teak (traditional to the area). You will find no other diving liveaboard as beautiful in Indonesian waters and\, being built by divers for divers\, you can be rest assured that every need has been thought of and addressed. Welcoming a maximum of 18 guests per cruise ensures that there is ample space to relax. The 9 guest cabins consist of 4 fixed doubles\, 4 fixed twins and 1 family suite (2 double beds)\, all with air-conditioning and private ensuite bathrooms with hot water.  The spacious air-conditioned saloon offers a great setting for your meals and dive briefings\, a cocktail bar\, comfortable seating\, a charging station and a large flat-screen TV. Komodo Master Liveaboard Salon on the Galapagos MasterThe diving Sailing in Komodo the waters are highly varied with beautiful stretches of shallow coral reefs\, deep walls\, and pinnacles\, as well as current-swept volcanic mounts. The islands host a variety of different life as well. Macro lovers will find a wealth of critters such as shrimp\, frogfish\, and nudibranch. Being inside the coral triangle\, diving in Komodo offers a wide variety of reefs that are humming with activity\, it can be enough just to sit and watch the comings and goings. Komodo is home to several reef-building corals\, hence its protected status. If you are looking for something bigger then a Komodo dive cruise won’t disappoint. Mola mola are also frequent visitors to Komodo drawn by strong currents and rich waters. More occasional visitors are whales and dolphins which are attracted by the plankton-rich waters. There is even a small chance that you might see a whale shark passing by. Mainly though\, a Komodo liveaboard is the place to see mantas\, in fact\, if you are a little bit lucky you can even have the chance to see several mantas in one dive. Dive Sites Of Komodo National Park A Komodo dive trip is undoubtedly the best way to experience the Komodo National park\, which is blessed not only with abundant marine life but also a huge number and range of different dive sites. Here is an overview of the most famous dive sites we will visit: Buta Balong – is one of the jewels in Komodo’s crown with the beautiful coral gardens simply humming with fish life. The strong currents and deep walls also offer the opportunity for big fish as well. Sharks and huge napoleon wrasse can be seen in these deeper waters offering photographers the chance to get some amazing shots. Manta Alley – Many divers come to Komodo to see the mantas though and there are few places better than Manta Alley. The site is relatively shallow with much of it around 10-20 meters/ 32-65 ft. allowing a nice long dive time to spend with what can be double digits of mantas and other rays. If you are lucky you might see the younger ones playing and swimming around each other. Manta Point – similarly offers the opportunity to dive with mantas that come to this patch to feed in the currents. This is a drift dive with some serious current and you will likely be drifting with numerous mantas as well as white-tip reef sharks\, unicornfish and the small but fierce mantis shrimp. Golden Passage – close to Gili Lawa Darat is also one of the signature dives of Komodo with the expected currents making it a drift dive. Divers can drift down and over the coral reef to see reef sharks and sometimes even dolphins and mantas swimming through. DATES AND FLIGHTS The liveaboard trip will take place from August 24th to 31st 2027. As usual we won’t include any airfare in the trip. SUMMARY:Saba Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereWe have planned an amazing trip to the Dutch Caribbean island\, Saba. Ben\, who lived on Saba for 3 years\, will be leading this trip. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Saba for a group scuba trip!  The Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean!     The island of Saba is often described as having a fairytale quality – in the sense of being in a place where time has all but remained unchanged. You will find no franchised resorts\, casinos\, or shopping malls. You will however find natural beauty\, a warm culture filled with friendly people\, and a sense of tranquility and charm. Saba is also one of the safest islands in the World. Feel free to take a walk any time of day or night\, while many locals even leave their doors unlocked. WHY Saba? Saba is a unique island. The best way to describe this unique island with less than 2\,000 residents is to list the have nots: Saba has no crime\, no high rises\, no traffic lights\, no crowds\, no fast-food restaurants\, no casinos\, no cruise ships. Oh\, and we almost forgot\, no beaches. All diving is from boats. Ben lived and worked on Saba for three years. He has worked at all three dive shops serving in every capacity from boat captain and dive guide to managing director…and everything in between. THE DIVING SCUBA diving is the top attraction of Saba and it surely offers one of the top dive spots in the Caribbean\, with unique structures to go along with a healthy reef and an amazing under water topography. The Saba Marine Park protects 30 dives sites around the island of Saba. Ben says we will see sharks and turtles every day/every dive! He has dived all over the world and says the five Pinnacle dive sites around Saba are one of a kind in the world. What better way to dive at one of the most exciting dive destinations in world than with an in-house expert! We’ll have five days of two-tank dives and an additional afternoon dive\, all from the brand new\, amazing dive boats that Sea-Saba offers. Saba Marine Park For a five-square-mile Island\, there sure are a lot of Dive sites!Established in 1987\, the Saba National Marine Park together with the Saba Conservation Foundation has maintained moorings and preserved marine life within Saba’s coastal waters. You’ll have a choice of 30+ varied dive-sites\, ranging from easy dive sites for the novices amongst you\, and more challenging dives for the more advanced. All of our dive sites are only accessible by boat\, but most are only a short boat ride from Fort Bay Harbor with the added bonus of spectacular island views! THE HOTEL Juliana’s Hotel has the perfect location\, nestled in the lush hillside in the village of Windwardside\, where the days are warm\, the nights are refreshingly cool\, the birds are chirping\, and a gentle breeze flows through your room\, suite or cottage! This place is super relaxed and laid-back!   Juliana’s Hotel is tucked in the hillside of the village of Windwardside\, where you are a short walk to some of Saba’s finest restaurants\, gift shops\, museums\, and more. You are also within walking distance of the Mount Scenery stairs\, which will lead you to the highest point within the Dutch Kingdom at approximately (3000 feet). On clear days\, you may be able to see the neighboring islands of St. Maarten\, St. Barths\, and St. Eustatius from this breathtaking vantage point. Bring your hiking shoes!!! We almost forgot to mention that the Bar in the hotel is awesome\, it’s the “Tipsy Goat Bar”\, where Ben and many others have enjoyed the breathtaking views while having a cold one or a cocktail after diving. We’ll have breakfast included in our package. There are a lot of dining options around the hotel in the cute village of Windwardside. Each diver will have the choice between three room categories\, Garden View Room\, Ocean View Room and the Captain’s Suites. THE FLIGHT AND THE AIRPORT The Flights on this trip alone are worth the travel. You’ll take-off and land on not only one but two of the most famous airports of the world. At Princess Juliana International Airport take-offs and landings are basically a few feet above the beach. Most people have seen clips and photos of it… Saba’s Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport has the shortest commercial runway in the world and it has a cliff on each end. Take-offs and landings are exhilarating with an awesome view. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from October 16th to 23rd\, 2027. Delta flies direct from Atlanta to St. Maarten daily. After arriving we’ll have to transfer over to Saba on either ferry or “puddle-jumper” plane. The flight schedule for 2027 is not posted yet\, we will update the flight itinerary asap.
