After a long period of planning\, it’s actually happening! We are going to Fiji for a scuba group trip!  It’ll be a 10 night trip to the wonderful island of Taveuni. Sunset view from the hotel Where are we going? We are going to Fiji\, specifically to the island of Taveuni. This is a stunning place\, far away from mass tourism\, with excellent diving and other activities. Our resort\, Paradise Taveuni Resort\, a secluded getaway situated on the southern tip of Taveuni\, is a one hour domestic flight from Nadi International Airport followed by a scenic one-hour drive from Taveuni’s Matei Airport. Aerial view of the hotel’s pool and shoreline When are we going? We’ll go in the best season for diving in Fiji\, September of 2024. It’s during the dry season\, which runs from April to October. During this time\, the weather is warm and sunny\, making it the perfect time to explore the beaches and jungles. We’ll be there at the right time to dive the world famous dive site\, Great White Wall\, which is located close to our hotel. The Diving Taveuni is “The Soft Coral Capital of the World” and Paradise Resort is in the heart of it. Paradise Dive is owned and operated by Paradise Taveuni Resort and is located on site. Paradise Resort has an exceptional house reef and shore dives are included\, even on boat dive days. Rainbow Reef is a mile long reef in the Somosomo Strait between the islands of Taveuni and Vanua Levu and only a 20-30 minute boat trip from Paradise Resort.  It is one of the most famous dive sites in the South Pacific. Paradise Taveuni offers diving on one of the “Top 10 Dive Sites in the World”\,The Great White Wall\, on the legendary Rainbow Reef.  It got its name from the white coral inhabiting the area at depths between 49 and 213 ft. This is truly a remarkable dive site that has been on our bucket list for many years! This dive site is not open year-round\, but it will be open while we are there. The Hotel We will spend 10 nights at the wonderful dive resort Paradise Taveuni Resort.  Paradise Taveuni is a remote and secluded boutique oceanfront resort on a panoramic five-acre property nestled amongst lush tropical gardens with rainforest mountains as a backdrop. Its unique deep water frontage allows guests to dive\, snorkel and swim from the lava flow edge into pristine warm tropical waters at any time of the day. We’ll have the choice between Oceanfront Vales (1 bedroom\, ideal for couples) and Oceanview Family Bures (2 private bedrooms with a King Bed in each\, ideal for two single travelers). Every room has a tropical outdoor shower in it’s own private lava-rock garden\, a generous king bed (or two) and a spacious deck for reading and enjoying the views. Sample picture of a roomDATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from September 7th to 17th. This means that you’ll fly out of east coast US on Saturday afternoon\, September 7th and will be back Wednesday September 18th. Flights are not included in the package deal. There is only one airline flying from the US to Fiji (Nadi International Airport)\, Fiji Airways. Coming from Atlanta\, we will have to connect through either LAX or SFO. Arriving on Nadi\, we’ll have to take an inland flight to Taveuni. The inland flights are typically around $200-$300 round trip. Map of TaveuniThe flight schedules for next September aren’t posted yet but judging by this year’s prices and schedules\, we are expecting prices between $1500 and $1700 per person\, for round trip flights in the main cabin. The resort features simple cabins\, with AC/heat\, and private bathrooms for each room. The price includes the bunk option. SUMMARY:Saba Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:We have planned an amazing trip to the Dutch Caribbean island\, Saba. Ben\, who lived on Saba for 3 years\, will be leading this trip. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Saba for a group scuba trip!  The Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean!     The island of Saba is often described as having a fairytale quality – in the sense of being in a place where time has all but remained unchanged. You will find no franchised resorts\, casinos\, or shopping malls. You will however find natural beauty\, a warm culture filled with friendly people\, and a sense of tranquility and charm. Saba is also one of the safest islands in the World. Feel free to take a walk any time of day or night\, while many locals even leave their doors unlocked. WHY Saba? Saba is a unique island. The best way to describe this unique island with less than 2\,000 residents is to list the have nots: Saba has no crime\, no high rises\, no traffic lights\, no crowds\, no fast-food restaurants\, no casinos\, no cruise ships. Oh\, and we almost forgot\, no beaches. All diving is from boats. Ben lived and worked on Saba for three years. He has worked at all three dive shops serving in every capacity from boat captain and dive guide to managing director…and everything in between. THE DIVING SCUBA diving is the top attraction of Saba and it surely offers one of the top dive spots in the Caribbean\, with unique structures to go along with a healthy reef and an amazing under water topography. The Saba Marine Park protects 30 dives sites around the island of Saba. Ben says we will see sharks and turtles every day/every dive! He has dived all over the world and says the five Pinnacle dive sites around Saba are one of a kind in the world. What better way to dive at one of the most exciting dive destinations in world than with an in-house expert! We’ll have five days of two-tank dives and an additional afternoon dive\, all from the brand new\, amazing dive boats that Sea-Saba offers. Saba Marine Park For a five-square-mile Island\, there sure are a lot of Dive sites!Established in 1987\, the Saba National Marine Park together with the Saba Conservation Foundation has maintained moorings and preserved marine life within Saba’s coastal waters. You’ll have a choice of 30+ varied dive-sites\, ranging from easy dive sites for the novices amongst you\, and more challenging dives for the more advanced. All of our dive sites are only accessible by boat\, but most are only a short boat ride from Fort Bay Harbor with the added bonus of spectacular island views! THE HOTEL Juliana’s Hotel has the perfect location\, nestled in the lush hillside in the village of Windwardside\, where the days are warm\, the nights are refreshingly cool\, the birds are chirping\, and a gentle breeze flows through your room\, suite or cottage! This place is super relaxed and laid-back!   Juliana’s Hotel is tucked in the hillside of the village of Windwardside\, where you are a short walk to some of Saba’s finest restaurants\, gift shops\, museums\, and more. You are also within walking distance of the Mount Scenery stairs\, which will lead you to the highest point within the Dutch Kingdom at approximately (3000 feet). On clear days\, you may be able to see the neighboring islands of St. Maarten\, St. Barths\, and St. Eustatius from this breathtaking vantage point. Bring your hiking shoes!!! We almost forgot to mention that the Bar in the hotel is awesome\, it’s the “Tipsy Goat Bar”\, where Ben and many others have enjoyed the breathtaking views while having a cold one or a cocktail after diving. We’ll have breakfast included in our package. There are a lot of dining options around the hotel in the cute village of Windwardside. Each diver will have the choice between three room categories\, Garden View Room\, Ocean View Room and the Captain’s Suites. THE FLIGHT AND THE AIRPORT The Flights on this trip alone are worth the travel. You’ll take-off and land on not only one but two of the most famous airports of the world. At Princess Juliana International Airport take-offs and landings are basically a few feet above the beach. Most people have seen clips and photos of it… Saba’s Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport has the shortest commercial runway in the world and it has a cliff on each end. Take-offs and landings are exhilarating with an awesome view. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from January 12th to 19th\, 2025. Please notice\, this is a Sunday to Sunday trip. Delta flies direct from Atlanta to St. Maarten daily. After arriving we’ll have to transfer over to Saba on either ferry or “puddle-jumper” plane. We suggest to take the plane\, as mentioned above. We are working on a charter flight from St. Maarten to Saba right now. The charter should have enough space for all of us. My flight itinerary January 12th ATL – SXM\, DL1894\, departure 10:00AM\, arriving 3:01PM January 19th SXM – ATL\, DL1873\, departure 3:43PM \, arriving 7:10PM TRIP SUMMARY Package includes: – 7 nights’ Hotel Accommodations in the booked room category – daily breakfast – Nitrox 32% for every nitrox certified diver – Airport transfers – Daily transfers to and from the dive boat – Marine park fees Package doesn’t include: Package doesn’t include: – Saba Marine Park fees ($4 per dive) or Nature fees ($1 per person\, per night) PRICES Diver in double occupancy in Garden View room: $1859 Diver in single occupancy in Garden View room: $2399 Non-diver in double occupancy Garden View room: $1199 Diver in double occupancy in Ocean View Room: $1959 Diver in single occupancy in Ocean View Room: $ 2599 Non-diver in double occupancy Ocean View Room: $1299 Diver in double occupancy in Captain’s Suite Room: $2099 Diver in single occupancy in Captain’s Suite Room: at request Non-diver in double occupancy Captain’s Suite Room: $1399 For more information or special requests\, please email info@athensscuba.com

SUMMARY:Philippines Scuba Group Dive Trip
DESCRIPTION:It seems like we have talked about a Philippines trip for a long time. Now we put together an amazing trip to not only one of the best places to scuba dive in the Philippines\, but two of them. Atlantis Dumaguete ResortWhere are we going? The Philippines is a fascinating country and one of the top spots to SCUBA dive in the world. It is a country of thousands of islands with many well-known dive locations. It was proving impossible to pick one spot to spend 10 nights\, so we decided to visit two very different locations for five nights each to broaden our experience and see more of the country. We’ll start our trip with five nights in Puerto Galera staying at the Atlantis Puerto Galera Resort. We’ll explore the famous dive sites in this area (most less than five minutes from the resort)\, as well as a day trip to the world-renowned Verde Island. We will fly into Manila and be picked up as a group\, for a two-hour van transfer to the coast and a 30 minute ferry ride to Puerto Galera. After the five nights in Puerto Galera\, we will reverse the transfer back to Manila for a domestic flight south to Dumaguete. We will be picked up at the airport for a 45 minute van transfer to Atlantis Dumaguete Resort. We will stay five nights at the Atlantis Dumaguete Resort enjoying four days of diving including a day-trip to Apo Island. Both resorts have approximately 40 rooms so guests enjoy a warm\,family atmosphere in both locations. When are we going? The trip takes place March 1-11\, 2025. It’s the dry season in the Philippines and therefore\, a great time to visit this beautiful country. We can expect a calm ocean and unparalleled visibility. Fingers crossed! The Diving We will be diving for four days in each location. We will be divided into groups of six or fewer with an experienced Divemaster assigned to each group. Each Divemaster is prepared to do five dives per day and will take any number of people (one or more) from their group on each dive. The boats and Divemasters are ready to go for whomever wants to join them. This means you could potentially complete 40 dives onthis trip! Atlantis offers concierge service\, which means the Dive Shop staff handles your gear and set up\, if you chose to let them. They work overtime to ensure you can simply relax and enjoy the dives. The diving in Puerto Galera is beautiful with colorful coral and plenty of sea life including reef fish\, turtles\, eels\, and more nudibranchs than you could ever hope to see. The diving around Verde Island is world-renowned for a reason. There are few places to experience the beautiful underwater scenery and schoolsof fish that we will see there. The diving in Dumaguete is true “muck” diving. It is an absolute macro paradise. We can almost guarantee you will see things you have never seen before. Some examples include Wunderpus and Mimic Octopus; gold\, black and blue stripe ribbon eel; Mandarin fish spawning on a night dive; Flamboyant Cuttlefish; several varieties of Mantis; Giant Black Frogfish; Yellow Leaf Scorpionfish; Electric Clam and many more. And don’t forget the day trip to Apo Island with astounding\, colorful coralconfigurations and more sealife to experience. A ghostpipefish is one of the many very rare creatures we can see on this tripThe Hotels The style and layout of the two locations are very different. Both resorts are all inclusive with an a la crate breakfast menu and three/four gourmet choices for each of three courses at lunch and dinner (including vegetarian and vegan options). Soda (except one at each meal) and alcohol drinks are not included. The bars are full service with plenty of interesting international and local options from beer to wine and liquor. A tab is run for the five night stay and settled at the end withcash or card. Puerto Galera The Atlantis Puerto Galera is a beautiful property with a Greek Islands (white-washed stucco) theme. It is located right on the Main Street of Puerto Galera (a resort/fishing village) across a brick walkway from the water with a limited beach. The walkway is set up as a “boardwalk” concept and runs the entire length of the village waterfront. The resort is arranged around an internal courtyard with the rooms rising three stories above the pool\, spa\, restaurant/bar\, and dive shop at ground level. One of the two resort bars sets at the entrance and looks out over the water and is a great place to hang out throughout the day as we enjoy up to five boat dives each day. They offer a standard room set up as a double (for a couple) or twin (still double occupancy but for two singles). An example for the Deluxe rooms at Atlantis Puerto Galera ResortDumaguete The Atlantis Dumaguete is built as a tropical paradise with each room offering a full glass wall looking out over the plush tropical greenery. The room options are similar to Atlantis Puerto Galera with a double or twin bed arrangement. The hotel is much more of a beach resort\, with rooms arranged along a plush\, green walkway (in two story buildings) leading down to the restaurant/bar right on the beach. The approach to diving and overall resort service is similar in both locations so in some ways\, when we arrive at Dumaguete\, it will feel like we are home again. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip takes place from March 1st to 11th\, 2025. All transportation and transfers are included EXCEPT the international flight from Atlanta (or your home airport) to Manila – round trip. We will need to fly out on February 26th (see below). To be included in the group transfer to Puerto Galera\, we will need to arrive in Manila by 8 AM on March 1st. We will be picked up as a group and transferred by van and ferry right to the resort. You will most likely NOT WANT TO BE TRANSFERRED OUTSIDE OF THE GROUP TRANSFER. A single transfer is not included and we have been told it will be expensive. The return from Dumaguete will be a domestic flight back to Manila during the day of March 11th. As most flights back to the states leave in the evening\, the typical plan is for the Atlantis staff to transfer us from the domestic terminal to the international terminal for a layover waiting on our homeward flights on theevening of the 11th. Athens Scuba staff have booked the following Turkish Airlines flights: Outbound: TK32; Wednesday\, 26 February 2025; Departs 22:00; ATL>Istanbul (Arrives 27 Feb at 16:40) TK84; Friday\, 28 February 2025; 02:10; Istanbul>Manila (Arrives 28 Feb at 18:10) Return: TK85; Tuesday\, 11 March 2025; Departs 21:35; Manila>Istanbul (Arrives 12 March at 05:55) TK31; Wednesday\, 12 March 2025; Departs 15:25; Istanbul>Atlanta (Arrives 12 March at 20:55) We researched the flight options and chose these flights for several reasons: *They were the most reasonable rates we could find. The trade off was longer layovers but Istanbul airport has lounges we can reserve if you don’t want to hang out in the terminals. *We will arrive the evening of the 28th and stay in an airport hotel (info to follow). Then we can be picked up as a group from the hotel for the transfer to the Puerta Galera Atlantis Resort. We feel this is a good option as a long flight plus a 2 hour van ride plus a 30 minutes to an hour boat ride would leave us too tired to enjoy the total experience and to charge right into diving. *We have reduced the risk of delayed flights impacting our trip by arriving too late for the March 1st transfer and missing a day of diving. *Turkish Airlines offers free tours of Istanbul during layovers longer than 6 hours. Here are a couple of links to explore: https://www.cntraveler.com/story/turkish-airlines-stopover-istanbul; https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-us/flights/fly-different/touristanbul/ There are other options which you are free to explore but make sure you arrive by 0800 on March 1st. We can do two pick ups…one at the airport and one at the hotel but you must arrive by 0800 to be picked up on the 1st. Otherwise\, you will be picked up the next day and have a hotel and your private transfer at your own expense (plus miss a day of diving). We encourage you to book the flights we have recommended so we will all be together. TRIP COSTS Price per diver in double occupancy is $4199 Price per diver in single occupancy is $4899 Price per non-diver in double occupancy is $3099 What’s Included? 10 nights accommodation total 5 nights in Atlantis Puerto Galera 5 nights in Atlantis Dumaguete All meals at Toko’s restaurant (breakfast drinks Italian and specialty coffees at breakfast are included) Coffee\, tea and filtered water Unlimited Internet access Hotel taxes Dive Package: 8 days diving (4 days per location) with up to 5 dives daily – up to incredible 40 dives total 1 day at each of the world famous divesites of Apo and Verde Island Tanks and weights Group transfer from Manila to Puerto Galera\, Puerto Galera to Manila\, domestic flights to and from Dumaguete What’s not Included? SUMMARY:Cozumel 4-Night Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:We have planned an amazing trip to Cozumel\, Mexico. This is such a great trip as Cozumel is easy to get to and the dates line up with most of Georgia schools’ spring-breaks. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Cozumel for a group scuba trip! Three days of diving\, enjoying the beach and the many amenities of the beautiful Iberostar hotel\, and exploring Cozumel. Cozumel is widely regarded as one of the best Caribbean dive destinations and rightfully so! The island of Cozumel is located just off the east coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and is directly across the water from Playa Del Carmen. Located on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the second-largest coral reef system in the world)\, Cozumel is an incredible spot for turquoise Caribbean waters\, white sand beaches\, and world-class diving and snorkeling. WHY COZUMEL? We chose to spend four nights on Cozumel\, because it has everything a diver could wish for. Beautiful reefs\, lots of fish and variety of underwater life\, drift diving\, beautiful beaches and fantastic resorts. The island also has a lot to offer besides diving\, Cozumel town is fun to explore\, a scooter ride to the east side of the island is a lot of fun and there are some of the oldest known Mayan ruins that can be visited. THE DIVING All dives will be guided by experienced dive guides of the well known and great dive operation of Dressel Divers Cozumel. Dressel has many dive locations around the Caribbean but only send their most experience staff to their prime dive shop in the Iberostar hotel. The dive center is located in the hotel and has it’s own jetty for their 4 boats.Cozumel is almost entirely surrounded by the Mesoamerican Reef\, which is why the island is considered one of the best dive areas in the world. The island featurs 40 different dive sites that have depths ranging from 10-100 feet and are teeming with tropical fish\, colorful reefs and are several marine species. We’ll have 3 days of double tank dives included. The dive sites are very close to the hotel\, so most of the days we’ll stop at the hotel between dives. THE HOTEL The Iberostar hotel is not only regarded as one of the best (or maybe THE BEST…) hotel of Cozumel\, it’s also the most southern hotel on the island\, which is the main reason we decided to stay here. The best and least crowded dive sites of the island are in front or just south of the hotel. Most other dive shops need to have long boat rides to sites that we can reach in a few minutes. The hotel itself is beautifully arranged with the surrounding nature. The fully equipped bungalow-style suites offer a family-friendly atmosphere\, from which you can easily access the pools\, spa or the extensive beach. We are booked on an all inclusive plan that includes all meals and drinks\, including alcohol. The hotel is well know for it’s great kitchen and also offers themed restaurants. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from April 9th to 13th. There will be direct flights with Delta from Atlanta to Cozumel available for this trip and also many options with a one-stop layover. All transfers from Cozumel airport to the hotel are included in the travel price. TRIP SUMMARY Package includes:  – 4 nights’ accommodations  – All-inclusive meals and drinks (alcohol included)  – Free Roundtrip airport transfers from Cozumel airport  – 3 days of 2-tank boat diving  – Free Nitrox PRICES Diver in double occupancy: $1399 Diver in single occupancy: $1899 Non-diver in double occupancy: $1099 For more information or special requests\, please email info@athensscuba.com

SUMMARY:Sea of Cortez Liveaboard Group Trip - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:We have planned a liveaboard trip to the Sea of Cortez. Our third trip in as many years. Do we have to say more?! This part of the pacific is truly magnificent. We will encounter creatures up close that we only know from the TV. Ben is going to lead this trip. Where are we going? The Sea of Cortez\, named “The Aquarium of the World” by none other than Jaques Cousteau\, is a breathtaking part of the Pacific\, situated between mainland Mexico and the Baja California peninsula. The sea stretches for nearly 1100 miles from Cabo San Lucas in the south almost to the US border in the north. It is almost as long as the west coast of the US but the average width of the sea is only 50-75 miles. The Sea of Cortez is fed by the warm water currents from the southern hemisphere creating nutrient rich water that supports the largest and most varied population of whales in the world. Even though the summer is not necessary whale season we saw multiple whales on our last trip! Why Sea of Cortez and when are we going? As previously mentioned\, this is our third trip to the Sea of Cortez. The marine life is abundant. We are specifically going in July (13th – 20th)\, because it’s Whaleshark and Mobula season. There are 6 groups of Orcas permanently living in the Sea of Cortez and they are very active during the summer\, because Mobulas are their favorite prey. We were lucky on our last visit and saw up to 12 Whalesharks at one time and spent hours snorkeling with some of them. We spent hours snorkeling with Orcas and even snorkeled with a humpback whale. We saw many whales from our excursion boat which we used on our spotting trips\, supported by our very own spotter plane. We also saw an uncountable number of Mobulas jumping out of the water. Anyone that loves large marine animals will have a great chance to see some on this trip! The Liveaboard We’ll be guests on the iconic UnderSea Hunter – now named Nautilus UnderSea. We will be supported by a spotter plane that circles over us to find large pelagics and will radio to the skiffs with live updates from the air to maximize our chances to see all the exciting animals. The UnderSea first entered service in 1968 as the personal submarine tender to Dr. Perry of Perry Oceanographic. This sturdy and brave ship became one of the most famous dive boats in the world as the UnderSea Hunter voyaging out to Cocos Island and exploring around the South Pacific. After purchasing this iconic ship\, Nautilus graced her with a massive shipyard refit including: stretching the hull out to 105 feet\, a new superstructure and extended sun deck\, a bulbous bow and stability system. She caters to 19 guests in 9 en-suite\, air-conditioned cabins. The Undersea also offers plenty of room for relaxation\, with a comfortable lounge and dining area and a large sun deck with loungers. We’ll have a full board that consists of breakfast\, lunch\, an afternoon snack\, dinner and all drinks except alcohol. Every diver day we’ll have up to 4 dives on the days we dive. Nitrox is available on the boat at an extra charge and the use of it is very much encouraged!   There will be a full stocked bar with good wine and spirits. The stewards will take care of every need we’ll have\, mix delicious cocktails and bake daily fresh cookies. The service is OUTSTANDING! The diving/snorkeling/free-diving Undoubtedly one of the most spectacular bodies of water on the planet\, the Sea of Cortez is home to some of the best marine life in the world. We will do a mix of scuba diving and snorkeling/freediving. The itinerary is very loose and we will decide from day to day where we will go and if we dive or snorkel. A lot of the large marine animals won’t stay in one spot for very long\, so scuba diving won’t be the best to spot them. We’ll go on spotting tours with the two skiffs that are tenders to the Nautilus UnderSea. We don’t know of a place that offers as much sea life in such a condensed area. The diving is awesome too due to the amount and variety of sea life: Baitballs\, Octopus\, MANY Moray eels\, Frog Fish and diving with Sea Lions…a highlight! This trip is super exciting and you never know what you might find while scuba diving\, snorkeling or free-diving. DATES AND FLIGHTS The liveaboard trip will take place from July 13th to 20th. Airfare is not included in the trip. Delta currently offers daily direct flights to San Jose Del Cabo – the cost is about $1000 per person for the return trip. The Delta flight are: July 13th\, ATL – SJD\, DL1815 – 10:00AM July 20th\, SJD – ATL\, DL1848 – 12:05PM TRIP COSTS There are two different room categories on this liveaboard. All cabins are very nice and have their own ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. There is one Premium cabin\, located on the top deck\, The cost is $4750 per person in double occupancy. The classic staterooms with a lower (twin) and an upper (single) bed\, located on the lower deck\, are $3500 per person in double occupancy. There is one triple stateroom that could also be used as a quadruple stateroom for families. The price per person in triple occupancy is $3000\, in quad occupancy $2500 per person. What’s included? – 7 nights full board accommodation includes breakfast\, lunch\, dinner and snacks – Up to 4 dives daily – or two big animal tours on the skiffs – Unlimited tea\, coffee\, fruit juice\, soft drinks and drinking water – Single 12 Litre (80 cu ft) cylinder with air fills – Weights and weight belts – Airport transfers in Nautilus own large travel bus What’s NOT included? – Nitrox $20 per day – Alcoholic drinks (expect similar cost for drinks as in the US\, for example\, $5 for a normal glass of wine) – Crew gratuities – $35 per person port fee (payable on the boat) – WiFi – typically $100 per device per trip for satellite connectivity PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE FLIGHTS! For information on single occupancy and other special requests\, please email info@athensscuba.com To get a better idea of the boat and the diving\, check out the following videos I’ve found on youtube.

SUMMARY:Cozumel 8-Night OR 4-Night Scuba Group Trip SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:We have planned an amazing trip to Cozumel\, Mexico with multiple date options! This is such a great trip as Cozumel is easy to get to and we’ll do amazing diving and stay at an excellent resort. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Cozumel for a group scuba trip! Seven days of diving\, enjoying the beach and the amenities of the beautiful Iberostar hotel\, and exploring Cozumel. If you don’t have the time to do the full trip\, or you are using this trip to do your Open Water Diver check out dives\, you can choose to book the 4 night option from either July 26th to 30th or July 30th to August 3rd. A LOT OF OPTIONS FOR THIS TRIP! We chose to spend time on Cozumel\, because it has everything a diver could wish for. We’ll have 6 days of double tank dives and a night dive included (for the 8 night option – the 4 night option includes 3 days of double tank dives). DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from July 26th to August 3rd. There are options for an 8 night stay or 4 night stays. There will be direct flights with Delta from Atlanta to Cozumel available for this trip and also many options with a one-stop layover. All transfers from Cozumel airport to the hotel are included in the travel price. TRIP SUMMARY 8 night package includes:   – 8 nights’ accommodations  – All-inclusive meals and drinks (alcohol included)  – Free Roundtrip airport transfers from Cozumel airport  – 6 days of 2-tank boat diving PLUS one night dive  – Free Nitrox 4 night package includes:  – 4 nights’ accommodations  – All-inclusive meals and drinks (alcohol included)  – Free Roundtrip airport transfers from Cozumel airport  – 3 days of 2-tank boat diving  – Free Nitrox PRICES for 8 night stay Diver in double occupancy: $2099 Diver in single occupancy: $2799 Non-diver in double occupancy: $1399 PRICES for 4 night stay Diver in double occupancy: $1299 Diver in single occupancy: $1799 Non-diver in double occupancy: $999 For more information or special requests\, please email info@athensscuba.com

SUMMARY:Costa Rica Scuba Group Trip - Waitlist
DESCRIPTION:Costa Rica might not be on everyone’s radar as a prime scuba diving spot\, but we’ve been wanting to set up a trip to this amazing country for a long time. Especially the Pacific coast\, where we’ll be staying\, offers great diving and many more attractions. This trip also marks a new opportunity for us and all our divers. We decided to break the trip up into diving and non-diving parts. We’ll go to the beautiful Playa Hermosa for 5 nights and will spend 2 nights in the amazing rainforest in the Arenal area. WHERE ARE WE GOING? Costa Rica is a small country located in Central America\, bordered by Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. The region of Guanacaste\, where we’ll stay\, offers an unforgettable vacation with its warm climate\, amazing beaches and spectacular natural attractions. With some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica\, the “Golden Coast” of Costa Rica is a top destination for tourists and an exciting scuba diving destination. WHY Costa Rica? The country is known for its stunning natural beauty\, including lush rainforests\, volcanoes and beautiful beaches. It is home to an incredibly diverse range of wildlife\, including monkeys\, sloths\, toucans and jaguars. Costa Rica is a popular tourist destination\, known for its eco-tourism opportunities and adventure activities such as zip-lining\, surfing and white-water rafting. The country is also known for its commitment to conservation and sustainability\, with around 25% of its land protected as national parks and reserves. Plus the diving in the Pacific region is amazing! THE DIVING Costa Rica is popular amongst scuba divers but luckily not an overrun dive destination! It offers a pacific-typical diverse range of marine life and ecosystems to explore. The area we’ll dive in is called Gulf of Papagayo and is known for its large schools of fish\, sharks and rays\, as well as its impressive rock formations and coral reefs. Having dive sites that we can reach in only a 10- to 20-minute boat ride from our hotel\, makes it an excellent location for a dive vacation. The area is well suited for advanced divers and novices or those learning to dive because its submerged volcanic rock formations and dive pinnacles offer multi-level dive opportunities so you can enjoy them together on the same dive site. THE HOTEL(S) Villas Sol – Deluxe Rooms\, All inclusive Villas Sol is an all-inclusive Hotel and Beach Resort with a million-dollar view – easily the best in all of the Gulf of Papagayo. Perched atop a hill\, trams take customers around the property from hotel to beach and back – generally 5-10 minutes between cycles when three trams are running. Each of the 54 rooms face the ocean and all have a very large balcony. The restaurant and patio deck at the hotel pool have a stellar view of the Gulf providing spectacular sunsets. A cool-water jacuzzi and the main pool with swim-up bar and snack bar are situated just steps from the hotel between the hotel and villas. There are many restaurants and a sports bar\, plus a grocery store\, just a short walk from the hotel. We’ll be staying in the deluxe rooms of the hotel. Manao Hotel – All meals included (no drinks included) Nestled in a serene and secluded location surrounded by breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano\, this hot spring hotel is a haven of relaxation and indulgence in the La Fortuna area. The hotel boasts a variety of beautifully appointed suites. Each one is equipped with queen sized beds\, amenities and the most spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano from your own porch.  The hot spring pool and ponds are fed by natural mineral water\, which have therapeutic properties. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploration or simply to soak up the tranquility of the surroundings. There are many options to stay in the Arenal area but we decided to take the recommendation of our travel agent who said this place is basically\, “HEAVEN”. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from September 6th to 13th. Delta flys direct to Liberia\, Costa Rica from Atlanta. The airport code for Liberia is LIR. Our flight itinerary Sat 6th of September DL1775\, Dep 10:08 AM\, Arr 12:00 PM Sat 13th of September DL 1812\, Dep 1:25 PM\, Arr 7:31PM TRIP SUMMARY Package includes:  • 7 Nights Accommodation (5 Nights Beach Stay + 2 Nights Volcano Stay) • Group Airport Transfers – Liberia Airport (LIR) and back • All-inclusive – meals and drinks at Villas Sol; meals only at Arenal (no drinks) • Private group transfer with guide and transportation from beach (Villas Sol) to Arenal (Guide + transportation stays with group in Arenal) • Rainforest Sloth and Frog Tour with Lunch • Hot Springs Entrance with Dinner • An Arenal adventure: Hanging Bridges and Waterfall – Lunch included • 1 Private Group Transfer to Liberia (LIR) from Arenal • Diver package includes 6 dives (3 Days of 2-Tank Local Boat Dives) including Tanks\, Weights\, Belt\, Snacks on Boat Adventure Day can be swapped for other experiences for an additional charge Add an additional day diving for $95 PRICES Diver in double occupancy: $2649 Diver in single occupancy: $3349 Non-diver in double occupancy: $2299 For more information or special requests\, please email info@athensscuba.com

SUMMARY:Galapagos Liveaboard Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Sold OutWe have planned a fantastic liveaboard trip to the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos Islands have been on the top of many divers’ bucket list\, as they have been for us for sure. Ben is going to lead this trip. A view on one of the many islands in the Galapagos Archipelago Where are we going? Situated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean\, nearly 1\,400 km due west from the coast of Ecuador\, the archipelago’s unique flora and fauna is mainly due to the isolated location. The various racing ocean currents around the islands bring with them nutrients and the world famous marine life. Above water\, this isolated group of volcanic islands has a striking range of landscapes which are home to an unparalleled number of endemic species. Brought to prominence by Charles Darwin in his renowned book ‘On the Origin of Species’ following his 1835 visit on board HMS Beagle\, the islands were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Why Galapagos? Experienced divers often regard the Galapagos Islands as something of a highlight in their scuba diving career. Whalesharks\, Huge schools of Great Hammerheads (Sphyrna mokarran)\, Scalloped Hammerheads (Sphyrna lewini)\, indigenous Galapagos Sharks\, Manta Rays\, Sea Lions and Dolphins are just a few of the highlights that are often encountered during a liveaboard diving trip in this incredible area. When are we going? After much consideration\, research and planning\, we have decided to go to Galapagos in January 2026. This is prime season for decent water temperatures (the water is still going to be colder than most of our tropical trips) and large Whaleshark sightings. The Liveaboard Known locally as Deep Blue\, Galapagos Master is a 32 metre (105 feet) scuba diving liveaboard vessel which underwent a complete interior refit to the highest standards in 2015. Constructed from steel\, the vessel is steadier than most due to being designed to be lower to aid stability and speed.  Mostly recently refurbished in early 2023\, Galapagos Master offers 7 and 10 night itineraries covering some of the top dive sites in the Galapagos.  We decided to go with the 7 night itenary. She welcomes a total of 16 divers on each liveaboard trip\, maximising safety and comfort for all guests on board. Featuring eight air-conditioned cabins spread across three decks\, each has its own private en-suite bathroom with hot water\, and ample storage room for all of your personal belongings. For added convenience and flexibility\, Galapagos Master offers some cabins that can be used either as a twin or as a double bedded room. Example cabin\, Premium DoubleThe communal areas include a spacious indoor lounge on the middle deck where we can relax and unwind while watching movies and latest underwater shots on the plasma screen television. The indoor dining area brings an array of mouth-watering meals\, complimented by the adjacent cocktail bar. Photographers can take full advantage of the indoor camera set-up station which includes multiple charging points (US round pin plug). Galapagos Master’s top sun-deck ensures that sun worshippers can top off their tan while soaking up the Galapagos sights. Or\, for those who prefer to relax out of the sun\, the shaded upper level is an ideal location to chill out in cushioned lounge chairs and benches. The boat has an official license to operate and organize diving activities in the Galapagos issued by the Ecuadorian government and the National Institute of the Galapagos ensuring you that all the safety tests have been passed as well as complying with the strict environmental rules of the park. With all the latest safety devices – GPS\, VHF radios\, satellite communication\, two life rafts\, emergency oxygen and AED – you will know you are traveling in total protection and safety. Galapagos Master LiveaboardWe’ll have a full board that consists of breakfast\, lunch\, an afternoon snack\, dinner and all drinks except alcohol. Every diver day we’ll have up to 4 dives. This means you can do more than 20 dives in 7 days! Nitrox is available on the boat and the use of it is very much encouraged!   Please note that no diet or zero soda’s will be available\, because they are not produced in recyclable bottles in the Galapagos. Salon on the Galapagos MasterThe diving Undoubtedly some of the most spectacular pelagic diving on the planet\, the Galapagos Islands are one of those rare places where you can dive through hundreds of Hammerhead Sharks to find a whale shark cruising along. Add silky sharks\, sea turtles\, giant morays and schooling fish in the thousands into the mix… and that’s just the first dive at Darwin! At Wolf Island you can expect to see huge Galapagos sharks and eagle rays up close\, whilst dives at Cabo Marshall will put you face to face with giant manta rays or in the midst of a school of millions of black-striped salemas.  Mola Mola (Sunfish) may also be seen around Punta Vincente Roca and various other locations across the Galapagos Archipelago. Macro life is plentiful with Black Coral bushes sheltering seahorses\, blennies\, nudibranchs\, hawkfish and frogfish. Marine Iguanas are a unique sight\, along with speedy Galapagos penguins and playful sea lions. This is but a mere taste of why divers consistently proclaim Galapagos to have the healthiest marine life in the Pacific. DATES AND FLIGHTS The liveaboard trip will take place from January 19th to the 26th 2026. As usual we won’t include any airfare in the trip. SUMMARY:Statia (Sint Eustatius) Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Sold OutWe have planned an amazing trip to Statia\, Dutch Caribbean! WHERE ARE WE GOING? If you’ve never heard about this small\, undiscovered island in the Caribbean\, it’s only because it’s a well kept secret. Unaffected by mass tourism\, St. Eustatius (aka “Statia”) is not your average Caribbean island. Imagine the Caribbean of 25 or 30 years ago and you will get close. It is part of the Dutch Caribbean\, which consists of Aruba\, Bonaire\, Curacao\, Saba\, Sint Eustatius\, and Sint Maarten. They are referred to as the Caribbean Netherlands. WHY Statia? St. Eustatius is known worldwide for having some of the most pristine waters and reefs in the Caribbean. We’ll explore some of the 36 official dive sites around St. Eustatius with the PADI 5 Star Scubaqua Dive Center – just a stone’s throw from the Old Gin House hotel. The diving opportunities are diverse with several unique habitats including walls\, historic wrecks\, reefs\, macro dive sites\, lava flows\, boulders and rock outcroppings. THE DIVING The reefs surrounding Statia are flourishing in a protected Marine Park. Underwater\, you will experience what much of the Caribbean must have looked like many years ago. The volcano\, The Quill\, dominates the island and is responsible for the huge amounts of lava flows and blocks under the surface. These old labyrinths of lava are now fully overgrown with coral and sponges. Combine these reefs with numerous historical dive sites and more recent wrecks and you’ve got yourself a divers paradise. Scubaqua’s 2 “state of the art” dive boats will take us on our 2 -tank morning boat dives so we can experience 10 of the 36 fabulous dive sites around the island. We’ll choose from several of the underwater archaeological sites and coral-covered shipwrecks. One site in particular\, called ‘Blue Bead Hole’\, is iconic. The blue beads found here are of historical significance to St. Eustatius. They were used as currency for enslaved people in the 17th century. The beads are the only artifacts divers are allowed to bring to the surface. THE HOTEL We’ll be escaping to the charming Old Gin House Hotel\, in its prime oceanfront location. This historic UNESCO hotel has a restaurant and a lounge terrace on the waterfront\, where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset. Relax with a cocktail and enjoy the Island life of St. Eustatius. The hotel has an authentic old-world charm. Dating back to the 18th century\, the Old Gin House Hotel has been expertly restored\, taking inspiration from its colonial roots. They have a small private beach and a swimming pool in the tropical garden. You’ll enjoy life\, as you enjoy The Old Gin House. Breakfast is included in our plan. The Old Gin House restaurant has a gourmet restaurant for lunch and dinner as well as other options we’ll be exploring. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from 7-14 February 2026.
