Embraced by lush foliage and secluded beaches throughout\, the island fosters one’s most dream-like fascinations.  THE DIVING As one of the top ten diving destinations in the world\, Dominica has so much to offer divers of any experience level.  There are calm shallows to explore\, where curious seahorses cling to coral branches. Deeper waters make home for over 20 species of whales that frequent these seas. Fantastic wall dives and unique crevices are waiting to be explored. La Sorciere\, also known as L’Abym\, is one of the most popular wall dives\, where divers can peruse easily\, as there is little to no current. Make your way along the volcanic ridge of Crater’s Edge\, where barracuda stalk their prey and large schools of tuna and snapper make appearances. Thermal springs erupt around the island\, including underwater where volcanic bubbles and warm water emanate from certain sites. We’ll have five days of two-tank dives daily and unlimited shore diving from the hotels own dock (if our group has ten or more divers).  This should offer plenty of diving for everyone! SUMMARY:Thailand/Similan Islands Scuba Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereBecause the last two times were so great\, we have planned a 3rd fantastic trip to Thailand\, including a liveaboard trip to the world famous Similan Islands. White sand beach and rock formation on one of the 9 islands of the Similan IslandsIt’s happening for the 3rd time! We are going to Thailand for a scuba group trip!  It’ll be an 11 night trip including 5 nights in a beach hotel in Khao Lak (including breakfast) – 4 nights before and 1 night after; and 6 nights on the liveaboard MV Bavaria.  Sunset on Bang Niang Beach\, in Khao Lak Where are we going We are going to Khao Lak\, where Ben lived for 2 dive seasons and knows the area very well.  Khao Lak is just north of the island of Phuket in South West Thailand and it is the perfect gateway to the Similan Islands\, a world famous dive destination.  Khao Lak is essentially an area along the coast line that includes many villages.  We will stay in the original village on Nang Thong beach. Aerial view on Ko BonWhen are we going We’ll go in April of 2026 because it’s towards the end of the dry/high season and provides us with the best opportunity of flat seas and great weather. Of course there is never a guarantee to see any specific creatures when scuba diving\, but from personal experience and due to the extensive knowledge of the owner of the dive operation\, we are sure that April might give us the best chances to see some big pelagic animals (in 2024 we dove with whale sharks!). Our home for 6 daysThe Liveaboard We chose to spend 6 days/6 nights on the liveaboard MV Bavaria.  This liveaboard is one of the newest and most comfortable liveaboards in the Similan Islands.  Ben was able to secure a special trip that will get us to Similan Island\, Koh Bon\, Koh Tachai\, the Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock.  The islands are beautiful and we’ll be able to do 2-3 land excursions during our trip.  The diving in this area is very special and very different to diving in the western hemisphere.  The MV Bavaria has 4 different cabin categories. All cabins are equipped with AC and control in room. 2 standard bunk cabins\, each with two single bunk beds\, shared bathroom\, on the upper deck 2 comfort double cabins\, each with one double bed\, private bathroom\, on the lower deck 6 comfort twin cabins\, each with two single beds\, private bathroom\, on the main deck 2 deluxe cabins\, each with one double bed\, private bathroom\, on the main deck The MV BavariaWe’ll have a full board that consists of breakfast\, lunch\, an afternoon snack\, dinner and all drinks except alcohol. Every diver can do up to 4 dives a day\, except for the last day\, with two dives offered.  This means you can do 22 dives in 6 days!  Nitrox is available on the boat and the use of it is very much encouraged!  Typical soft coral formation around the Similan IslandsThe diving All dives will be guided by an experienced guide\, typically with a ratio of 4 divers per dive guide. The dive sites around the Similan islands are full of life and color\, usually rather shallow dives with lots of macro\, turtles and smaller rays. Koh Bon has a large cleaning station and is famous for the chance of seeing Manta Rays (the biggest kind\, OCEANIC MANTAS\, with a wing span of up to 29ft).  Ben personally saw Mantas as big as 20ish ft on this site.  Koh Tachai is another island on our route with a pinnacle dive site\, great coral growth and incredible underwater landscape. Here we’ll have a chance to see big pelagics as well. The second Whale Shark Ben has ever seen and the first one he took a picture ofThe Surin Islands offer unspoiled diving close to the border with Myanmar. Hardly anyone dives in Surin\, because it’s far away from the Similans and we’ll go out of our way to make sure that we’ll have the chance to see these unspoiled islands. We are in for a treat! Richelieu Rock was discovered and loved as a recreational dive site by Jacques Cousteau and is likely Ben’s favorite dive site ever. It is very colorful\, has tons of fish\, usually a huge group of Jacks right under the surface\, as well as plenty of macro with seahorses\, frogfish\, and maybe the very big guys…. You only know how amazing it is if you’ve had the opportunity to see it… One of the many pools that the hotel offers\, overlooking the beach and sunsetThe hotel We will spend 5 nights (4 before the liveaboard trip and 1 after) in the Seaview Resort Khao Lak\, which is set on Nang Thong Beach\, an extensive stretch of fine sands framed by the emerald blue waters of the Andaman Sea and against a mountainous background.  The Hotel features multiple pools\, restaurants\, bars and plenty of other amenities.  It is directly on the beach\, but also in town giving us plenty of opportunity to explore the quaint town of Khao Lak with it’s restaurants\, beaches and local market. This means that you’ll fly out Friday night\, April 17th and will be back in the States Thursday April 30th. SUMMARY:Cozumel Scuba Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereWe have planned an amazing trip to Cozumel\, Mexico. This is such a great trip as Cozumel is easy to get to and some of the best diving available via a short\, one-leg\, direct flight. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Cozumel for a group scuba trip! Five days of diving\, enjoying the beach and the many amenities of the beautiful Iberostar hotel\, and exploring Cozumel. Cozumel is widely regarded as one of the best Caribbean dive destinations and rightfully so! The island of Cozumel is located just off the east coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and is directly across the water from Playa Del Carmen.  Located on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the second-largest coral reef system in the world)\, Cozumel is an incredible spot for turquoise Caribbean waters\, white sand beaches\, and world-class diving and snorkeling. WHY COZUMEL? We chose to spend seven nights on Cozumel\, because it has everything a diver could wish for. Beautiful reefs\, lots of fish and variety of underwater life\, drift diving\, beautiful beaches and fantastic resorts. The island also has a lot to offer besides diving\, Cozumel town is fun to explore\, a scooter ride to the east side of the island is a lot of fun and there are some of the oldest known Mayan ruins that can be visited. THE DIVING All dives will be guided by experienced dive guides of the well known and great dive operation of Dressel Divers Cozumel. Dressel has many dive locations around the Caribbean but only send their most experience staff to their prime dive shop in the Iberostar hotel. The dive center is located in the hotel and has it’s own jetty for their 4 boats.Cozumel is almost entirely surrounded by the Mesoamerican Reef\, which is why the island is considered one of the best dive areas in the world. The island features 40 different dive sites that have depths ranging from 10-100 feet and are teeming with tropical fish and colorful reefs. We’ll have 5 days of double tank dives included. The dive sites are very close to the hotel\, so most of the days we’ll stop at the hotel between dives. THE HOTEL The Iberostar hotel is not only regarded as one of the best (or maybe THE BEST…) hotel of Cozumel\, it’s also the most southern hotel on the island\, which is the main reason we decided to stay here.  The best and least crowded dive sites of the island are in front or just south of the hotel. Most other dive shops need to have long boat rides to sites that we can reach in a few minutes. The hotel itself is beautifully arranged with the surrounding nature. The fully equipped bungalow-style suites offer a family-friendly atmosphere\, from which you can easily access the pools\, spa or the extensive beach. We are booked on an all inclusive plan that includes all meals and drinks\, including alcohol. The hotel is well know for it’s great kitchen and also offers themed restaurants. There will be direct flights with Delta from Atlanta to Cozumel available for this trip and also many options with a one-stop layover. The town of San Pedro (where we will be staying) is the island’s gateway and center for sailing and reef exploration. WHY Ambergris Caye\, Belize? Ambergris Caye hovers in a vacation sweet spot: just enough amenities to make it exciting\, but not so overdeveloped that you’re tripping over flip-flopped tourists. A mangrove swamp is the eye of this white beach island and golf carts are the main form of transportation along the sandy roads. Reef divers drool over the Belize Barrier Reef and the Blue Hole\, a 400-feet deep circle of limestone that teems with angelfish\, elkhorn coral\, cleaner shrimp and stalactites. Because of its spectacular dive sites\, Belize attracts divers from around the world and the Ramon’s Village Divers’ dock is the perfect launching point for any underwater excursion. Ramon’s Village Divers is the oldest and most respected dive shop in all of Belize and employs only the best of “Belize’s Best” divers to care for their guests.  From exploring Jacques Cousteau’s world-famous Blue Hole to the enjoyment of the undersea wonders of Lighthouse Reef Atoll and the Turneffe Atoll\, to the incredible beauty of Hol Chan Marine Reserve\, you’ll never see anything like this again. Ramon’s Village Divers maintains a fleet of 14 boats ranging in size from 26 feet to 46 feet.  These boats are used for dives along the Barrier Reef in the vicinity of Ambergris Caye and offshore trips to the Turneffe and Lighthouse Atoll\, where you can dive the Great Blue Hole.  The diversity in boats allows them to go out with just a couple of divers or large groups.  The close proximity of the Barrier Reef\, just over a quarter mile offshore\, allows them to choose from thirty or forty named sites within a five to fifteen minute boat ride from the Ramon’s dock. SUMMARY:Maldives Liveaboard Group Trip
DESCRIPTION:Book HereWe have planned a fantastic liveaboard trip to the Maldives aboard Master Liveaboards’ brand new Maldives Master. Join us for this 7-night liveaboard exploring some of the best dive sites of this amazing place in the Indian Ocean! Where are we going? This island country is located south of India in the middle of the Indian Ocean. A bucket-list destination for many divers\, including us\, the Maldives combines 1\,192 stunning tropical islands with an underwater paradise.  Our 7-nights Central Atolls and Baa itinerary takes us to some of the best dive sites around Baa Atoll as well as some of the central Maldives atolls. The areas and dive sites that are covered depend largely on the weather and conditions but will include Baa Atoll\, North Malé and North Ari. Other areas that we could visit include South Malé\, South Ari\, and Vaavu Atolls. Manta rays\, eagle rays\, grey and white-tip reef sharks and an abundance of colorful reef fish are just some of the encounters you can expect on these itineraries. Why The Maldives? Diving by liveaboard in the Maldives offer divers with the rare opportunity to see a huge range of beautiful hard and soft corals as well as to come face to face with manta rays\, whale sharks\, sharks\, turtles\, barracudas\, jacks and tuna. The main draw to diving in the Maldives are the spectacular pelagic sightings. on adrenaline-filled channel drift dives\, you can encounter mantas\, eagle rays and various sharks such as whitetip\, blacktip\, oceanic silvertip\, nurse and lemon shark\, just to name a few. Aside from the channel dives\, diving the reefs and thilas – seamounts that host manta cleaning stations – are equally exciting. The abundance of marine life in the Maldives can be attributed to the ideal growing conditions\, the turquoise waters provide plenty of nutrients for the coral reef while manta rays and whale sharks feed from the plankton. When are we going? We’ll embark the boat on August 4th and will disembark on the 11th. One week of amazing diving at the best time of the year to visit the central atolls and especially Hanifaru Bay. August marks the height of the incredible Manta Ray event. Located in Baa Atoll\, Hanifaru Bay is famous for being a nursery ground for grey sharks. In addition\, from mid-May until December\, the reef acts like a funnel\, filling up with plankton\, attracting hundreds of manta rays (and sometimes a few whale sharks) to feed. In Hanifaru Bay\, scuba diving is not allowed – it’s SNORKELING ONLY.  There are no guarantees that this natural spectacle will happen while we are there\, but the chances are very good! While on the boat\, we’ll be in constant contact with locals to monitor if the Manta Rays are there to maximize our chances. The Liveaboard Maldives Master welcomes 26 divers on board with spacious modern comfort\, providing the best Maldivian diving experience. She was built in 2024 – a brand new boat! Maldives Master is 140ft long liveaboard vessel that boasts two roomy fixed double-bed cabins\, ten convertible twin/double cabins and two single cabins. She features an indoor dining area\, a bar\, an indoor air-conditioned lounge and an outdoor jacuzzi. A shaded outdoor lounge area can be found on the mid-deck\, plus four different sun decks; a viewing deck located at the front of both the mid-deck and upper deck; an open-air deck on the top deck; and an ocean deck at the stern of the boat…all providing comfortable seating and loungers. The ocean deck is a unique feature allowing guests to relax in the open air while close to the water. On many evenings the floodlights will illuminate the water just off the ocean deck to attract plankton which draws the manta rays and whale sharks. There have been many close sightings of feeding mantas and whale sharks. Have your camera ready! One of the most outstanding features of Maldives Master is the custom-built dhoni (diving support vessel) Blue Shadow. This 62ft dhoni is spacious\, fast\, and equipped with all the modern conveniences that divers want. Each diver has their own station with plenty of space to store their gear and kit-up\, and the dhoni crew is ready to assist. During the journeys to and from the dive sites\, you can ascend the small stairs to the top deck to enjoy the sun and stunning views. There is a toilet with a shower located inside the main deck plus two handheld showers on the back deck\, and separate camera and equipment rinse tanks. Our trip includes full board that consists of breakfast\, lunch\, an afternoon snack\, dinner and all drinks except alcohol and soft drinks. Nitrox is available (not included) on the boat and the use of it is very much encouraged!  The diving Baa AtollA UNESCO Biosphere Reserve\, Baa is known for its rich marine biodiversity. It features stunning coral reefs but is most famous for Hanifaru Bay where\, at certain times of the year\, manta rays congregate in large numbers. North & South Malé AtollsLocated near the capital city of Male\, sites feature vibrant coral formations\, abundant marine life\, and opportunities for drift diving. North & South Ari AtollsThese atolls are known for their vibrant coral reefs\, abundant marine life\, and impressive drop-offs. You can expect to encounter a wide variety of marine species\, including colourful reef fish\, sharks\, manta rays\, and even the elusive whale shark. Little Cayman\, a former part of the United Kingdom’s overseas territories\, is a tiny island in the northern Caribbean\, close to Cuba.  An island only 10 miles long and 1 mile wide.   WHY Little Cayman? Looking for a relaxed week of awesome\, no-stress diving and an amazing beach resort well known for its superb reefs\, great service\, and pretty beaches? This is It! Little Cayman Beach Resort\, with the Reef Divers dive operation\, has been a staple of Caribbean scuba diving for a long time\, and we finally found the best time to visit! THE DIVING Little Cayman is famous for its Wall diving\, especially Bloody Bay Wall. With sheer underwater cliffs that plummet to unseen depths\, generations of ocean divers have made Little Cayman Island Resort a leading Caribbean diving destination. On it’s healthy reefs you’ll enjoy little to no current\, unlimited visibility\, jaw dropping swim throughs and plentiful marine life. Whether you go deep or stay shallow\, diving Little Cayman Island is a bucket list experience. The on-site dive shop\, Reef Divers\, is renowned for offering personalized valet diving\, but what does that mean? Essentially\, Reef Divers takes all the hard work out of scuba diving\, from the heavy lifting and care of your boat gear to switching out tanks and safely storing your gear at the end of the day. TAround Little Cayman\, there are countless dive sites\, quickly accessible from the resort with one of the amazing custom dive boats that Reef Divers run on a daily basis. Ocean encounters include turtles\, reef/nurse sharks\, groupers\, and a lot of small things. THE HOTEL Little Cayman Beach Resort is situated on a white\, sandy beach in Blossom Village\, the first area of the island resettled in 1833 after Spanish privateers ran off the turtle fishermen who’d settled there. The two-story hotel structure has 40 air-conditioned guest rooms. Guests will enjoy their meals served in our Birds of Paradise dining room with ample seating\, ideally for groups – and individuals – all at the same time. A community table makes it easy for individuals or couples traveling alone to meet new friends. For al fresco dining\, a new screened outdoor pavilion is also available. Our package includes breakfast\, lunch and dinner.  DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from January 9th to 16th\, 2027. There will be direct flights with Delta from Atlanta to Grand Cayman. From Grand Cayman we’ll have to take a “puddle-jumper” over to Little Cayman. All transfers from Little Cayman’s airport to the hotel are included in the travel price.  Flight plans for 2027 aren’t out yet. The economy ticket price for the flight from ATL Grand Cayman on Delta Airlines in the winter of 2026 is about $750 return. We are going to Grenada for a group scuba trip! It’ll be a 1-week trip full of diving\, exploring and fun!  Grenada is also known as the Spice island of the Caribbean. This spectacular\, but still hidden gem on the southern end of the Antilles and close to the north shore of South America. WHY GRENADA? We chose to spend a week on an islands thats far from mass tourism and kept it’s original Caribbean charm. Grenada\, with its unspoiled landscapes\, has the perfect balance\, appealing to the interest of adventure lovers\, beach dwellers and of course scuba divers. THE DIVING All dives will be guided by experienced dive guides of the well known and great dive operation of Aquanauts Grenada. The dive center is located in the hotel and has it’s own yetty for their 3 boats.Colorful coral reefs\, spectacular shipwrecks\, exhilarating drift dives and a unique underwater sculpture park – Grenada has it all. There are more than 50 sites of intriguing underwater wonder to be discovered and the under water topography is breathtaking. Grenada also goes by the title of “Shipwreck Capital of the Caribbean\,” and this distinction is justified not only by the number of sunken vessels that surround the shores but also by the variety. In addition to an extensive collection of smaller\, novice-friendly wrecks that sit at shallow to medium depths on the leeward side of the island\, advanced divers can explore the largest wreck in the Caribbean\, the 600-foot Bianca C\, and other noteworthy blue-water wrecks. We are offering an incredible experience right after the Socorro trip -THE GREY WHALES OF SAN IGNACIO LAGOON. Where are we going? Cabo San Lucas is the starting point for this unbelievable adventure. After a short flight from the United Sates\, we’ll board our luxurious expedition yacht the Nautilus Explorer. Socorro Island is the largest of the four main islands that form the Revillagigedo Archipelago in Mexico. Socorro Island\, Roca Partida\, San Benedicto\, and Clarin make up the Revillagigedo UNESCO World Heritage Site and are all iconic spots for scuba diving. These four islands combined are commonly referred to as the Socorro Islands or simply “Socorro”. Known for its stunning\, raw\, primal beauty\, Socorro offers fantastic diving experiences\, where super-friendly giant mantas\, playful bottlenose dolphins\, and 12 species of sharks await your affection. Despite being just 235 nautical miles from Cabo\, Socorro feels like a remote and unvisited paradise\, surrounded by the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. The crossing to Socorro from Cabo will take about 28 hours. Socorro’s rich marine life includes schooling hammerheads\, silver tips\, silkies\, and Galapagos sharks seeking attention alongside the mantas. Picture yourself swimming through vast schools of thousands of jacks… thrilling! As a UNESCO World Heritage Site\, Socorro is a protected national park\, providing a unique and exclusive diving experience\, accessible only to a limited number of permit holders. Why Socorro? Being a group of small volcanic island situated in the remote Pacific\, diving Socorro is world-renowned for encounters with the world’s friendliest manta rays and other large marine animals like sharks\, dolphins\, tuna and whale sharks. Socorro Island is nicknamed Mexico’s “Little Galapagos” due to its unique ecosystem that attracts the large pelagic animals. The archipelago hosts some of the world’s best dive sites for these large pelagics. Of the most amazing scuba diving destinations in the world\, Socorro Island is relatively easy to get to from the United States and most parts of the world. As a lonely seamount far offshore\, the Socorro attracts a number of sociable species. But what truly sets Socorro apart\, is its giant oceanic mantas (Mobula birostris) – these majestic creatures seek interaction with divers and snorkelers\, creating unforgettable moments. It is possibly the world’s friendliest group of manta rays who love to swim beside and above you often less than a few feet away.  When are we going? We’ll embark the boat on March 11th and will disembark on the 19th. 8 nights of amazing diving in the peak humpback whale season! The best time to dive Socorro depends on what you want to see and what conditions you are comfortable with. Manta rays and various sharks are present year-round. Humpback whales congregate around the archipelago in February and March\, although divers have to be lucky to see them underwater. The Liveaboard Nautilus Liveaboards has been leading dive trips to Socorro since 1978\, witnessing the incredible bond between divers and mantas that never ceases to amaze. With years of experience\, they offer tailored liveaboard adventures with an emphasis on safety\, service excellence\, and animal encounters. They will ensure we make the most of our Socorro trip. We chose to stay on the Nautilus Explorer\, Nautilus’ flagship featuring an all new super-large dive deck and water level platform combined with picture windows around the main salon and separate dining room. The Explorer looks fantastic with her recent stretch to 132 feet in length\, new air conditioning and interior updates. Starlink internet is available ($100 per device\, per trip) and there is a hot tub on the sun deck to relax after a full day of diving\, Our trip includes full board providing breakfast\, lunch\, an afternoon snack\, dinner and all drinks except for alcohol. Every winter\, Eastern Pacific gray whales make an incredible 3\,000 mile journey from the icy Arctic waters of Alaska to the warm lagoons of Baja California\, Mexico. These lagoons become a nursery and breeding ground\, where thousands of whales gather to mate\, give birth\, and nurture their young. San Ignacio Lagoon\, often called “whale central\,” is the heart of this experience. Each season\, 5\,000 to 6\,000 gray whales visit\, making it the ultimate destination for rare\, up-close encounters with these friendly giants. San Ignacio LagoonWhy San Ignacio? In San Ignacio Lagoon\, gray whales\, guided by trust and curiosity\, approach humans to seek out interactions. This remarkable behavior\, unique to this lagoon\, began in 1972 when a gray whale initiated contact with a fisherman\, forging an extraordinary bond between whales and humans. Since then\, gray whales have continued to swim up to boats\, offering unforgettable close-up encounters. These experiences are nothing short of phenomenal\, extraordinary\, and utterly mind-blowing!  When are we going? The whales arrive in the lagoon in December and stay through the end of April.Nautilus operates exclusively during the peak whale season\, from mid-January to mid-April\, when the largest number of whales are present. Sightings vary throughout the season. The first gray whales to arrive are usually adults coming to mate. As the season progresses\, more whales fill the lagoon\, and by early February\, the first newborn calves begin to appear. Soon\, the lagoon is bustling with mothers and babies\, busy training for their long journey north. Towards the end of the season\, when we will be there\, the calves often become especially friendly! The Luxury Camp Imagine starting your day with the sun rising over the Baja mountains\, followed by multiple whale-watching excursions to meet the friendly whales. You choose how much time you want to spend with these gentle giants\, setting the pace that feels right for you.The lagoon and surrounding desert are beautiful\, and these trips are done in style. Perfect if you enjoy nature and the great outdoors but love the extra comfort. Our luxury camp is located in the peaceful El Vizcaíno desert\, with tents positioned near the water\, offering stunning views and endless starry skies at night.You can join kayaking or paddleboarding tours across the lagoon (weather permitting)\, take scenic walks\, or explore the area by mountain bike. Our adventure begins with a 1 hour 50 minute flight to the airstrip at the Lagoon.  After brunch\, a welcome briefing\, and a naturalist introduction to the whales\, we’ll head out for two afternoon whale-watching encounters.  In the evening\, we’ll enjoy a cocktail hour and watch the sunset around the fire pit\, followed by dinner and a presentation by one of the naturalists. Days 2 – 3: San Ignacio Lagoon All operators in the lagoon work together to maximize guest experience while ensuring no negative impact on the whales. For this reason\, Nautilus is not able to send pangas out “on demand”. Here is an example itinerary. 7 am breakfast after watching the sunrise over the sierras and then head out at 7:45 am for several whale watching encounters. 9:45 am for the second whale watching session of the day. Then again\, around 10 to 10:30 am\, depending on the availability in the area for whale watching\, and then back to camp for lunch. After lunch\, enjoy another whale-watching encounter in the afternoon.  In the evening\, enjoying cocktail hour\, sunset viewing\, making new friends around the fire pit\, a game of billiards\, or an evening presentation by a naturalist are all fine ways to finish off your day in camp. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Bonaire for a group scuba trip!  Bonaire is located just north of Venezuela in the southern Caribbean.  This Dutch Caribbean island has protected its marine resources for more than 35 years.  Because of this\, marine life abounds with more than 470 fish species found in Bonaire’s waters.  Famed as one of the best Caribbean dive destinations\, Bonaire hosts amazing coral reefs and long forgotten shipwrecks.  Because the island’s dive sites are protected from any currents\, this is one of the best places in the world for new and experienced divers. WHY BONAIRE? At Mayan Princess Beach & Resort\, you’re just meters from the largest reef in the Western Hemisphere\, the Mesoamerican Reef. You’ll be able to access the reef just in front of the resort or take dive excursions with one of the experienced and passionate instructors. This is such a great trip as Cozumel is easy to get to and some of the best diving available via a short\, one-leg\, direct flight. WHERE ARE WE GOING? We are going to Cozumel for a group scuba trip! Five days of diving\, enjoying the beach and the many amenities of the beautiful Iberostar hotel\, and exploring Cozumel. Cozumel is widely regarded as one of the best Caribbean dive destinations and rightfully so! The island of Cozumel is located just off the east coast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and is directly across the water from Playa Del Carmen.  Located on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef (the second-largest coral reef system in the world)\, Cozumel is an incredible spot for turquoise Caribbean waters\, white sand beaches\, and world-class diving and snorkeling. WHY COZUMEL? We chose to spend seven nights on Cozumel\, because it has everything a diver could wish for. Beautiful reefs\, lots of fish and variety of underwater life\, drift diving\, beautiful beaches and fantastic resorts. The island also has a lot to offer besides diving\, Cozumel town is fun to explore\, a scooter ride to the east side of the island is a lot of fun and there are some of the oldest known Mayan ruins that can be visited. THE DIVING All dives will be guided by experienced dive guides of the well known and great dive operation of Dressel Divers Cozumel. Dressel has many dive locations around the Caribbean but only send their most experience staff to their prime dive shop in the Iberostar hotel. The dive center is located in the hotel and has it’s own jetty for their 4 boats.Cozumel is almost entirely surrounded by the Mesoamerican Reef\, which is why the island is considered one of the best dive areas in the world. The island features 40 different dive sites that have depths ranging from 10-100 feet and are teeming with tropical fish and colorful reefs. We’ll have 5 days of double tank dives included. The dive sites are very close to the hotel\, so most of the days we’ll stop at the hotel between dives. THE HOTEL The Iberostar hotel is not only regarded as one of the best (or maybe THE BEST…) hotel of Cozumel\, it’s also the most southern hotel on the island\, which is the main reason we decided to stay here.  The best and least crowded dive sites of the island are in front or just south of the hotel. Most other dive shops need to have long boat rides to sites that we can reach in a few minutes. The hotel itself is beautifully arranged with the surrounding nature. The fully equipped bungalow-style suites offer a family-friendly atmosphere\, from which you can easily access the pools\, spa or the extensive beach. We are booked on an all inclusive plan that includes all meals and drinks\, including alcohol. The hotel is well know for it’s great kitchen and also offers themed restaurants. DATES AND FLIGHTS The trip will take place from May 9th to 16th 2026. There will be direct flights with Delta from Atlanta to Cozumel available for this trip and also many options with a one-stop layover.
